Jakarta's Toll Roads This Morning Crowded; Points of Congestion and Contraflow

Traffic on several Jakarta toll roads and surrounding areas was congested on Wednesday morning, 20 May 2026. Congestion occurred at a number of key points, prompting authorities to implement traffic management in the form of contraflow to relieve vehicle queues. At the same time, contraflow was implemented on the GT Halim 3 KM 01+300 to Senayan KM 08+100 in the direction of Senayan to ease traffic flow. ‘06:33 WIB Tol Dalam Kota: After GT Halim 3 KM 01+300 - Senayan KM 08+100, CONTRAFLOW LANE (right) is in operation; please be orderly in the queue,’ the account said. Meanwhile, the contraflow scheme was also implemented in the reverse direction, from Senayan to GT Halim 3. ‘06:33 WIB Tol Dalam Kota: BE CAREFUL at Senayan KM 08+100 - GT Halim 3 KM 01+300, there is a CONTRAFLOW LANE from the Halim direction in the right lane,’ wrote Jasa Marga. On the Jakarta–Tangerang Toll (Janger) stretch, congestion also occurred at several points. Nevertheless, some other segments remained smooth, such as Tomang–Karang Tengah–Tangerang–Bitung. Contraflow arrangements were also implemented on the Kb Jeruk KM 03+400 to after the Tomang Underpass, and vice versa from Kb Jeruk to help ease congestion. Officials urged road users to remain disciplined, maintain distance, and follow on-site directions to keep traffic under control.
