Jakarta's religious high court

Jakarta's religious high court

From Kompas

I called in to the Religious High Court in Jl. Cemara,
Jakarta, recently and imagined that I would be entering an
architectural marvel which should rightly reflect a building fit
to house a high court. However, my expectations were doused when
I arrived and faced a near dilapidated building.

Wanting to know more, I made inquiries and was in for a bigger
shock when the attending clerk informed me that the building was
rented.

Why are there still government offices renting houses in a
residential neighborhood despite the ongoing construction
activities in the capital and a ban on the municipality to hold
offices in such areas?

In all honesty, I became very concerned when I learned that
the Religious High Court had been warned several times by the
city administration about the matter, to the effect that it
should vacate the building.

I hoped at first that the rented premises could be renovated
to meet the office's requirements. However, that does not seem to
be the case either.

I wonder who is looking after the affairs of the Religious
High Court of Jakarta? As a citizen, I would like to appeal to
the authorities to promptly take care of the above mentioned
office.
