Jakarta's Odd-Even Vehicle Restriction Suspended Today, Friday 3 April 2026
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Jakarta’s odd-even vehicle restriction is suspended today, Friday (3/4/2026), in observance of a major religious commemoration designated as a national holiday. This information was conveyed by the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) through its official Instagram account, @dishubjakarta. In the announcement, Dishub confirmed that vehicle restrictions based on licence plate numbers will not apply throughout the day. “In connection with the National Holiday and Joint Leave for the Commemoration of the Death of Jesus Christ on 3 April 2026, the implementation of the odd-even system on various roads in Jakarta is suspended,” stated @dishubjakarta. Furthermore, this rule aligns with DKI Jakarta Governor’s Regulation No. 88 of 2019, which states that traffic restrictions under the odd-even system do not apply on Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays designated by presidential decree. Although the odd-even restriction is suspended, Dishub continues to urge the public to maintain safety while driving. Road users are asked to comply with traffic signs for mutual comfort and security. Referring to Article 287 of the Road Traffic and Transportation Law, violators of these rules may face a maximum fine of Rp500,000.
