Jakarta's Odd-Even Vehicle Restriction Scheme Resumes This Morning
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The motor vehicle restriction scheme through the odd-even system is once again enforced in Jakarta starting this morning, Wednesday (25/3/2026). The policy resumes normal operation after being temporarily suspended to commemorate the national holidays of Nyepi Day (Saka New Year 1948) and Eid al-Fitr 1447 H.
The odd-even implementation is divided into two time sessions. In the morning, the rule applies from 06:00 to 10:00 WIB. Meanwhile, in the afternoon to evening, vehicle restrictions are reimposed from 16:00 to 21:00 WIB.
Road users are advised to adjust their vehicle licence plates to the calendar date to avoid sanctions. Violations of the odd-even policy will still face legal enforcement.
For information, there are 25 roads in Jakarta that are locations for the odd-even system implementation. These roads are major thoroughfares with high traffic density, especially during morning and afternoon rush hours.
