In conjunction with the celebration of Lunar New Year 2577 Kongzili, the odd-even traffic system in DKI Jakarta will not be enforced from Monday (16/2) to Tuesday (17/2), as announced by the Traffic Directorate of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police (Polda Metro Jaya).

The announcement was made through the official Instagram account of the Traffic Management Centre (TMC) of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police (@tmcpoldametro) on Sunday evening (15/2).

“Dear road users, in connection with Lunar New Year 2577 Kongzili, the odd-even system in DKI Jakarta WILL NOT BE ENFORCED,” wrote TMC Polda Metro Jaya.

In the post, TMC Polda Metro Jaya explained that the policy refers to DKI Jakarta Governor Regulation Number 88 of 2019, Article 3, Paragraph (3).

The policy also references the Joint Decree of Three Ministers regarding amendments to national holidays and collective leave for 2025.

TMC Polda Metro Jaya also urged the public to continue monitoring their Instagram Stories for the latest updates on traffic conditions on the ground.

Furthermore, TMC Polda Metro Jaya reminded motorists to maintain road safety and comply with traffic signs during the holiday period.

According to the Joint Decree of Three Ministers on National Holidays and Collective Leave for 2026, the national holiday for Lunar New Year 2577 Kongzili falls on Tuesday, 17 February 2026, whilst 16 February 2026 has been designated as collective leave.

Under the decree, there are a total of 17 national holidays and 8 days of collective leave throughout 2026.

“The implementation of collective leave as referred to shall reduce the annual leave entitlement of employees/workers in accordance with the provisions of prevailing laws and regulations applicable to each work unit/organisational unit/institution/company,” reads the Joint Decree, as quoted from the website of the Ministry of State Secretariat.
