Jakarta's Odd-Even Traffic Scheme Reinstated This Morning
Jakarta’s odd-even vehicle restriction scheme has been reinstated this morning, Tuesday, 2 June 2026. The policy had been suspended to observe the national holiday of Pancasila Day but has now resumed normal operations. The scheme operates in two time slots: 6am to 10am in the morning and 4pm to 9pm in the afternoon and evening. Road users are advised to align their vehicle registration numbers with the calendar date to avoid penalties, as violations will still be subject to legal enforcement. Twenty-five road segments across Jakarta are subject to the scheme, primarily major thoroughfares experiencing high traffic congestion during peak hours. These include:
