Jakarta's Odd-Even System This Week Applies Only for 3 Days: Note the Schedule
JAKARTA - The odd-even system in Jakarta will only apply for three days this week, namely Monday to Wednesday, 11-13 May 2026. This is because the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has cancelled the implementation of the odd-even system on 14-15 May 2026, which coincides with the National Holiday and joint leave for the Ascension of Jesus Christ. The information was conveyed by the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) through a post on its official Instagram account @dishubdkijakarta on Friday (8/5/2026). “In connection with the Holiday and Joint Leave for the Ascension of Jesus Christ on 14-15 May 2026, the implementation of the odd-even system on various roads in Jakarta is cancelled,” wrote Dishub DKI Jakarta. With this policy, vehicles with odd or even number plates can still pass through roads that are usually restricted. In addition, this policy also refers to the Governor of DKI Jakarta Regulation No. 88 of 2019, Article 3 paragraph (3). The regulation states that traffic restrictions with the odd-even system do not apply on Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays designated by the government. “Traffic restrictions with the odd-even system are not enforced on Saturdays, Sundays, and National Holidays designated by Presidential Decree,” states the provision. Dishub DKI Jakarta also urges the public to continue to comply with traffic rules and prioritise safety during the long holiday period.
