Jakarta's Odd-Even System Suspended Today and Tomorrow, Check the List of Roads
The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has suspended the implementation of the odd-even system in Jakarta today, Thursday (14/5/2026), coinciding with the national holiday and joint leave for the Ascension of Jesus Christ. With this policy, vehicles with odd or even number plates can still pass through all road sections that are usually subject to the odd-even restriction. Information on the suspension of the odd-even system was conveyed by the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) via its official Instagram account @dishubdkijakarta on Friday (8/5/2026). “In connection with the Holiday and Joint Leave for the Day of the Ascension of Jesus Christ on 14–15 May 2026, the implementation of the odd-even system on various roads in Jakarta is suspended,” wrote Dishub DKI Jakarta. This policy applies for two days, namely 14 to 15 May 2026. In addition, the regulation also refers to the Governor of DKI Jakarta Regulation Number 88 of 2019, Article 3 paragraph (3). The regulation states that the odd-even traffic restriction system does not apply on Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays designated by the government. “Traffic restrictions using the odd-even system are not enforced on Saturdays, Sundays, and National Holidays designated by Presidential Decree,” states the regulation. Dishub DKI Jakarta urges the public to continue to comply with traffic rules and prioritise safety during the long holiday period.
