Jakarta's Odd-Even System Suspended on 14–15 May 2026, All Vehicles Free to Pass
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com — The odd-even system in Jakarta has been officially suspended on 14–15 May 2026, coinciding with the National Holiday and Joint Leave for the Ascension of Jesus Christ.
This information was conveyed by the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency through its official Instagram account @dishubdkijakarta on Friday (8/5/2026).
“In connection with the Holiday and Joint Leave for the Day of the Ascension of Jesus Christ on 14–15 May 2026, the implementation of the odd-even system on various roads in Jakarta is suspended,” wrote the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency in its official post.
The suspension of the odd-even system refers to two legal bases, namely the Joint Ministerial Decree of the Minister of Religious Affairs, Minister of Manpower, and Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform Number 1497 of 2025, Number 2 of 2025, and Number 5 of 2025 on National Holidays and Joint Leave for 2026.
In addition, this policy also refers to the Governor of DKI Jakarta Regulation Number 88 of 2019 Article 3 paragraph (3), which states that traffic restrictions with the odd-even system are not applied on Saturdays, Sundays, and National Holidays designated by Presidential Decree.
