Jakarta's Mobile SIM Services Suspended Today, Friday 3 April 2026

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Jakarta’s mobile SIM services have been suspended on Friday (3/4/2026) in conjunction with the national holiday for the commemoration of the Death of Jesus Christ. This information was conveyed by the Metro Jaya Police through their official X account @tmcpoldametro. In their announcement, all services related to the issuance and renewal of Driving Licences (SIM) are closed today. “On Friday, 3 April 2026, services at Satpas Daan Mogot, the DKI Jakarta SIM Unit, the DKI Jakarta SIM Outlet Unit, and the Mobile SIM Unit are closed,” stated the announcement. In addition to mobile SIM services, the temporary closure also applies to services at Satpas Daan Mogot and SIM outlets in the DKI Jakarta area. “On Saturday, 4 April 2026, services at Satpas Daan Mogot, the DKI Jakarta SIM Unit, the DKI Jakarta SIM Outlet Unit, and the Mobile SIM Unit will reopen as usual,” wrote the police. For the public whose SIM expires on 3 April 2026, flexibility is provided to renew on 4 April 2026 without penalties. This policy is expected to provide convenience to the public affected by the service closure during the national holiday.
