Jakarta's Mobile Driving Licence Service Arrives at Five Locations This Thursday; Note the Requirements and Fees

The Traffic Directorate (Ditlantas) of the Metro Jaya Police has opened a mobile driving licence service in five areas of Jakarta on Thursday (21 May 2026). The service is intended for residents who wish to renew the validity period of their Driving Licence (SIM). Quoted from Kompas.com from the official X account @tmcpoldametro of the Metro Jaya Police Traffic Management Center, the mobile SIM service operates from 08:00 to 14:00 WIB. The mobile service only handles renewals for SIM A and SIM C that are still valid. Those holding an expired SIM must obtain a new SIM at the Satpas SIM Daan Mogot, West Jakarta. The renewal requirements include a valid copy of their KTP, the old SIM and its photocopy, evidence of health tests, and evidence of psychological tests. Currently, the validity period of a SIM is counted as five years from the date of issue, not according to the owner’s birth date. For the renewal fee, based on Government Regulation No. 76 of 2020 on the Types and Tariffs of Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) applicable in the Polri environment, the renewal tariff for SIM A is Rp 80,000 and for SIM C Rp 75,000. Renewal for SIM B cannot be processed through the mobile SIM service and can only be processed at the Satpas office.
