Jakarta's Levy Revenue Realisation Reaches IDR 584 Billion by Mid-2026

The DKI Jakarta Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) reported that levy revenue realisation reached IDR 584.6 billion, or 26.4 percent of the target, as of 30 June 2026. Deputy Head of Bapenda DKI Jakarta Elvarinsa stated that for the 2026 Revised Regional Government Work Plan (RKPD Perubahan), all levy-collecting regional work units (SKPD) did not propose any changes to the levy targets. The levy revenue target for 2026 is approximately IDR 2.2 trillion.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chairman of Commission C of the DKI Jakarta Regional People’s Representative Council (DPRD), Tri Waluyo, urged the provincial government to increase regional levy revenue, particularly by strengthening the digitalisation of levy collection systems. He noted that the revenue target in the 2026 Revised RKPD had neither increased nor decreased.

Tri argued that increasing levy revenue requires a transparent and easily monitored system. He assessed that digitalisation can ensure all levy transactions are accurately recorded. A digital system is also needed to prevent unauthorised collections or charges made without official assignment from regional agencies. “All levy payments must be monitored by the system,” he stressed. He further requested that efforts to increase levies must still consider the sustainability of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). “Regional revenue policies must not add to the burden of small business operators. Levies must increase, but the welfare of MSMEs must still be considered,” said Tri.
