Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov DKI Jakarta) has announced that coverage of the Free Health Check (CKG) programme in 2025 reached 37.5 per cent, exceeding the 36 per cent target established under the National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN) for 2025-2029.

“In 2025, a total of 4,202,586 people received CKG, representing 37.5 per cent of the total target population,” said Jakarta Health Agency Head Ani Ruspitawati when contacted in Jakarta on Monday.

Meanwhile, from January to 11 February 2026, she noted that 146,727 people had participated in the CKG programme, with the figure continuing to grow through to the end of the year.

Ani said the Jakarta provincial government continues to improve CKG programme achievement through a number of efforts, including expanding access to services by involving community health centres (puskesmas), auxiliary health centres, other primary healthcare facilities (FKTP) in partnership with the national health insurance agency BPJS, as well as engaging regional public hospitals for newborn screening.

Furthermore, she continued, the government is strengthening cross-sector collaboration to broaden CKG programme reach for both the public and workers through Community CKG initiatives at formal workplaces, informal workplaces, integrated health posts (posyandu), and other public venues.

Additionally, the programme is being integrated with other priority health programmes, alongside public awareness campaigns on the importance of early health detection through the CKG programme.

Ani explained that CKG examination components comply with technical guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health, with additional screenings in 2026 covering a number of skin diseases, including leprosy, yaws, and scabies.

She further noted that the CKG programme extends beyond screening, with treatment provided for participants found to have health issues. Treatment and referral protocols follow BPJS Kesehatan service pathways.

“To date, CKG participants requiring treatment have been given care in accordance with recommendations,” Ani said.
