The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of DKI Jakarta recorded that the capital’s export value reached 8,587.78 million US dollars during the January to June 2026 period, marking a 4.04 percent increase compared to the same period in 2025. The increase in exports during this period was mainly due to non-oil and gas exports, which grew by 308.13 million US dollars, followed by an increase in oil and gas exports of 25.60 million US dollars. “The value of oil and gas exports increased by 165.7 percent. Meanwhile, non-oil and gas exports recorded a 3.74 percent increase,” said Head of BPS DKI Jakarta Kadarmanto in Jakarta on Monday. Furthermore, Kadarmanto mentioned that the top three export destination countries for Jakarta during January to June 2026 were Thailand, the United States, and China. “The export value to these three countries provides a significant share, namely 37.1 percent of Jakarta’s total exports from January to June 2026,” Kadarmanto revealed. He detailed that exports to Thailand, for instance, were recorded at 1,301.2 million US dollars, dominated by precious metals and jewellery or gems. Exports to the United States were valued at 1,012.68 million US dollars, dominated by footwear, fish, and clothing and accessories. Meanwhile, exports to China totalled 872.28 million US dollars, dominated by animal and vegetable fats and oils.
