Jakarta's Eid al-Adha 2026 Takbir Night Forecast: Clear or Rainy?

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Weather across Jakarta on Tuesday, 26 May 2026, until the Takbir night of Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijriah is forecast to be predominantly clear to cloudy. This weather is expected to support communities holding Takbir processions and Eid al-Adha night activities at mosques and residential areas. According to the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) website, Central Jakarta is forecast to be clear with temperatures ranging from 24 to 30°C. West Jakarta is expected to be clear with temperatures of 24-30°C. South Jakarta is forecast to be clear with temperatures between 23-31°C. East Jakarta is also predicted to be clear with temperatures of 24-30°C. The Thousand Islands Administrative Region is forecast to be cloudy with temperatures of 28-30°C. The Takbir night this year coincides with the eve of Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijri, which falls on Wednesday, 27 May 2026. The government, through the Ministry of Religious Affairs, determined Eid al-Adha based on the results of the isbat meeting for the start of Dhu al-Hijjah 1447 Hijri, held on Sunday, 17 May 2026. “Agreed that the 1st of Dhu al-Hijjah 1447 Hijri falls on Monday, 18 May 2026, and therefore Eid al-Adha 1447 H, the 10th of Dhu al-Hijjah, falls on Wednesday, 27 May 2026,” said Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar in a press conference in Jakarta. PBNU also confirmed the same date for Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijri based on moon-sighting results in several regions. “Dhu al-Hijjah 1447 H begins on Monday Kliwon, 18 May 2026, and Eid al-Adha 1447 H falls on Wednesday Wage, 27 May 2026,” said PBNU Chairman Ulil Abshar Abdalla, also known as Gus Ulil, according to the official Nahdlatul Ulama website.
