Jakarta's Dukcapil Services Remain Open Today, 15 May: Schedule and Services
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The DKI Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Service (Dukcapil) is continuing to provide population administration services today, Friday (15/5/2026), even though it is still within the national holiday and collective leave period.
These services are focused on assisting residents who need to handle population documents outside of working days.
Services will be open from 09:00 to 13:00 WIB at the DKI Jakarta Dukcapil Office as well as all Sub-District Dukcapil Offices (Sudin) in the five administrative cities and the Thousand Islands.
For today’s services, the public can access several main services, including:
Meanwhile, IKD activation is carried out directly at the counter because it requires a biometric verification process and QR code scanning.
The Head of the DKI Jakarta Dukcapil Service, Denny Wahyu Haryanto, stated that opening services on holidays is done to accommodate residents who have time constraints on working days.
He highlighted the high number of Jakarta residents who work as private sector employees as well as students and university students.
“The occupations of DKI Jakarta residents are mostly private sector employees and students or university students who have limited time to handle population administration. Therefore, we are opening services on national holidays and collective leave,” said Denny in his official statement.
To date, the rate of initial KTP-el recording is still below 20 per cent, so these holiday services are expected to accelerate the coverage of population administration.
The public is urged to take advantage of these services, especially for students who have not yet recorded their KTP-el and residents who have not activated their IKD.
In addition to holiday services, the DKI Jakarta Dukcapil is also running various other programmes such as door-to-door services to schools and residential areas, Friday Afternoon services, and Saturday Population Administration services.
