Jakarta’s annual inflation rate reached 2.78 percent in June 2026, primarily driven by the personal care and other services category, with gold jewellery being the largest contributing commodity. Kadarmanto, Head of BPS DKI Jakarta, stated on Wednesday that gold jewellery experienced an inflation rate of 35.18 percent and contributed 0.57 percent to Jakarta’s annual inflation in June 2026. “We know that although gold prices have fallen in recent months, on an annual basis, the 2.78 percent inflation is still mainly caused by gold jewellery inflation,” he said.
