Jakarta's Ancol Taman Impian to Host Eid al-Fitr Prayers in 2026

Ancol Taman Impian is opening the opportunity for visitors to perform Eid al-Fitr prayers at Lagoon Beach, Ancol during Eid 2026.

Senior Vice President of PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Tbk, Budi Aryanto, stated that the management is preparing sanitation workers to ensure the area remains well-maintained before the religious observance.

The Eid al-Fitr prayers at Ancol are planned to be held at Lagoon Beach on Saturday, 21 March 2026, with a capacity of approximately 2,000 worshippers.

Beyond sanitation, Ancol management is also ensuring that the sand conditions in the beach area remain comfortable for use as a congregational prayer location.

“It should be known that the sand at Ancol Beach is compact and not uneven. We ensure the sand is level and compacted so that during the Eid prayer, the worshippers will not experience any instability,” Aryanto said.

“Secondly, we will certainly provide proper, clean, and comfortable ground coverings so that visitors performing Eid prayers at Ancol Taman Impian will have their sanctity guaranteed from dust and anything that could invalidate their ablution,” he added.

Additionally, ablution facilities will be provided along the northern side of the Eid prayer area at Lagoon Beach to facilitate worshippers. Should the number of worshippers exceed the main area’s capacity, Ancol has prepared an additional area on the pavement around the location for prayers.

“So God willing, there will be no obstacles. We ensure that those who come to perform Eid prayers can do so safely and comfortably,” Aryanto further stated.

“Our hope is that Ancol can provide a holiday week programme under the theme of Festival Raya Kemenangan, where in addition to family reunions, celebrations can be held together with family, community, and friends at Ancol,” he said.

The Festival Raya Kemenangan will be held in various recreational areas at Ancol.
