The Jakarta Provincial Government will waive entrance fees to Ragunan Zoo and Ancol in commemoration of the 499th anniversary of Jakarta. The free admission period will apply for three days, namely Monday (22/6/2026), Saturday (27/6/2026), and Sunday (28/6/2026).

Head of Public Relations for Ragunan Zoo, Wahyudi Bambang, stated that visitors will not be charged an entrance fee on 22 June and 27-28 June 2026. The policy is implemented as part of the celebration of Jakarta’s 499th anniversary.

“In accordance with the directive of the Jakarta Provincial Government, the public can enjoy free access to Ragunan Zoo on 22 June 2026 and 27-28 June 2026,” he said when confirmed on Saturday (12/6/2026).

In addition to waiving the entrance fee, Ragunan Zoo will organise entertainment in the form of interactive quizzes with various attractive prizes. Visitors can participate in these activities during the Jakarta anniversary celebration period.

According to Bambang, the Jakarta anniversary moment is a good opportunity to strengthen Ragunan’s role as a leading educational tourism destination that provides enjoyable learning experiences for the public. The various activities held are also expected to serve as a means of education and entertainment for the community, especially families and the younger generation.

Meanwhile, President Director of PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Tbk, Syahmudrian Lubis, said his company will also waive entrance fees during the period of 22 June and 27-28 June 2026 from 05.00 to 23.00 WIB. However, this policy only applies to people with Jakarta ID cards (KTP/KIA).

“As Jakarta’s proud public space, Ancol is here to be a place for the community to create precious moments with family, friends, and loved ones amidst the natural atmosphere and coastal charm of the capital. Through this free entry programme on these special days, we want to ensure every Jakarta resident can experience happiness together at Ancol,” he said.

He explained that people wishing to obtain the free tickets must make a reservation in advance starting from 16 June 2026. The public is asked to make a reservation before the H-1 deadline for their visit due to limited quota.
