- Jakarta sanctions six waste transport service companies
The Jakarta Environmental Agency (DLH) imposed administrative sanctions on six companies providing waste transport services in the sanitation sector because they were proven to have carried out activities not in accordance with the permits they held. With this latest enforcement, a total of 11 waste transport service companies have been sanctioned as part of improving the governance of waste transport and management in Jakarta.
- Pramono bans operation of padel courts without PBG
Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo stressed that his administration prohibits the operation of padel courts that do not have permits in the form of Building Approval (PBG). “As long as the padel court does not obtain a permit or PBG, the Jakarta provincial government will certainly not grant further permission for it to operate,” Pramono said in the South Jakarta area on Friday.

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo asked the Head of the Jakarta Communication, Informatics, and Statistics Agency (Diskominfotik) Marulina Dewi to find the perpetrators of CCTV vandalism during a demonstration on Thursday (27/8). “Regarding the CCTV vandalism, I will certainly ask the Head of the Kominfotik Agency to study who did it and what the purpose was,” Pramono stressed in the South Jakarta area on Friday.

The Jakarta provincial government through the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) together with the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) and Smart Cakrawala Aviation held a Weather Modification Operation (OMC) to anticipate potential threats of the dry season. “We are making a joint effort to protect Jakarta from potential threats of the dry season. This weather modification is carried out in locations that we have monitored, including points with relatively high pollutant figures,” said Head of Jakarta BPBD Marulitua Sijabat at Pondok Cabe Airport, South Tangerang, Banten, on Friday.

North Jakarta Mayor Hendra Hidayat confirmed that services for fire survivors in Muara Angke, North Jakarta, continue to run well. “Today, we visited our brothers and sisters affected by the disaster in Muara Angke and ensured public services are running,” Hendra said in Jakarta on Friday.
