DKI Jakarta officially launches Transjabodetabek Blok M-Soetta route

The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government officially launched the new Transjabodetabek SH2 route serving Blok M to Soekarno-Hatta Airport (Soetta). “Today we are beginning something new that the public has been awaiting – the official launch of the Transjabodetabek SH2 service from Blok M to Soekarno-Hatta Airport,” said Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung during the official ceremony at Blok M Terminal, South Jakarta, on Thursday.

Freight transport restricted on Jakarta tollways from 13 March 2026

The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is restricting freight transport on Jakarta’s toll road network during the Lebaran exodus and return migration period from 13-29 March 2026. “Freight transport restrictions will commence on Friday, 13 March 2026, from 12:00 noon until Sunday, 29 March 2026, at midnight,” said Yayat Sudrajat, Head of Traffic and Road Transport Control at the Jakarta Transportation Office.

Four million Jakarta residents expected not to travel for Lebaran 2026

The Traffic and Road Transport Control Division of the Jakarta Transportation Office estimates that 4,024,251 residents will not travel outside Jakarta during Lebaran 2026. “We estimate that approximately 6,653,749 residents will undertake journeys outside the city, whilst 4,024,251 will remain within Jakarta,” said Yayat Sudrajat during a media briefing on Thursday.

Pramono proposes waste-to-energy plants at three locations

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo has proposed three locations for Waste-to-Energy Power Plants (PLTSa) to the Environment Minister – at Bantargebang, Rorotan, and Sunter. “If this can be accomplished, each location at Bantargebang would process approximately 3,000 tonnes daily, comprising 2,000 tonnes of new waste and 1,000 tonnes of legacy waste excavated from Bantargebang,” said Pramono on Thursday.

Pelni prepares nine ships for Lebaran mudik services

PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia (Pelni) Jakarta Branch has prepared nine passenger ships for the 2026 Lebaran exodus services departing from Tanjung Priok Port in North Jakarta to various ports across Indonesia. “We have one ship with a capacity of 3,000 passengers, six ships with capacity for 2,000 passengers each, and two ships accommodating 1,000 passengers, all ready to serve passengers during this year’s mudik period,” said Antonius Lumban Gaol, Head of PT Pelni Jakarta Branch, on Thursday.
