Jakarta yesterday: Pademangan fire to Jakalcer Festival in Ancol
A number of important and interesting events took place in Jakarta on Friday (19/6), ranging from a house fire in Pademangan to the holding of the Jakalcer Festival in Ancol.
- Gulkarmat estimates Pademangan house fire losses at Rp1 billion
The North Jakarta and Thousand Islands Fire and Rescue Service (Gulkarmat) estimates that losses from a multi-storey house fire on Jalan Pademangan II, Pademangan District, North Jakarta, on Friday night reached Rp1 billion. “We estimate the loss from the fire of one house unit covering 168 square metres reached Rp1 billion,” said Gatot Sulaeman, Head of Operations for North Jakarta and Thousand Islands Gulkarmat, in Jakarta on Friday.
- Pramono affirms Padat Karya programme will be conducted transparently
Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo affirmed that the labour-intensive ‘Padat Karya’ programme will be carried out with a transparent system, ensuring there will be no placement of insiders as feared by the public. “No, no (there are no insiders).
