- South Jakarta District Court grants part of Andrie Yunus’s pretrial motion
The South Jakarta District Court (PN Jaksel) has partially granted the pretrial motion filed by Andrie Yunus, an activist from the Commission for the Disappeared and Victims of Violence (KontraS), regarding an alleged assault case. “The applicant’s motion is partially granted,” stated Chief Judge of the South Jakarta District Court, Suparna, during the pretrial hearing on Tuesday.
- Jakarta Transportation Agency apologises for Lenteng Agung road closure
The Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub DKI) has apologised to the public because the opening of Lenteng Agung Road heading south towards Depok could not be carried out as planned at 05:00 WIB. “We understand that this situation impacts the mobility of residents passing through the Lenteng Agung area. Therefore, we apologise for the delay in reopening the road and advise the public to adjust their travel times and use the prepared alternative routes,” said the Head of the Jakarta Transportation Agency, Budi Awaluddin, in Jakarta on Tuesday.

The actions of a member of the Public Facilities and Infrastructure Service (PPSU) in Cipinang, Pulo Gadung, East Jakarta, who was recorded throwing rubbish into a drainage channel and went viral on social media, have resulted in a second warning letter (SP2). “The PPSU worker was issued an SP2 this morning, as they had previously committed a violation and received an SP1,” said the Head of Cipinang Village, Heidy Amelia Rangkuti, in Jakarta on Tuesday.

The East Jakarta City Government, through the Social Affairs Sub-department, has detained two beggars who were performing in ‘pocong’ (ghost) costumes at several locations in East Jakarta. “We were conducting routine patrols when we found two beggars dressed as pocongs. Recently, this has become viral and is causing public unrest. Therefore, we have taken them into custody,” said the Commander of the Social Service, Supervision, and Control Team (P3S) of East Jakarta Social Affairs, Kurniawan, in Jakarta on Tuesday.
