Jakarta Weather Forecast Today, 5 March 2026: Rain Throughout the Day

The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has released the weather forecast for the Jakarta Special Capital Region for Thursday, 5 March 2026. According to the latest data, almost the entire capital is forecast to experience light rain throughout the day. The conditions are influenced by activity of three tropical cyclone seeds (90S, 93S and 92P) monitored near Indonesia, which are triggering significant rainfall cloud development across Java, including Jakarta.

The forecast indicates that while Jakarta’s weather today is expected to be predominantly light rain, the public is urged to remain vigilant for potential increases in rainfall intensity at any time, particularly in South Jakarta and East Jakarta where moderate rain could occur around midday.

For those outdoors, it is advised to be alert for rainfall of moderate to heavy intensity that may be accompanied by lightning and gusty winds.
