Jakarta Weather Forecast for Saturday 7 March 2026: Rain from Morning to Afternoon

BMKG released the latest weather forecast for the DKI Jakarta region on Saturday, 7 March 2026. A number of areas in the capital are forecast to experience thunderstorm rain in the morning, particularly in East Jakarta, North Jakarta, and the Thousand Islands. Meanwhile, weather in West Jakarta, Central Jakarta, and South Jakarta is forecast to start the day with light rain. This condition requires extra vigilance for residents planning outdoor activities in the morning. Early warning: Be alert for potential rain accompanied by thunder and lightning and strong winds in East Jakarta and North Jakarta on Saturday morning, and in South Jakarta at midday. BMKG also notes that the air temperature in Jakarta will range from a minimum of 23 degrees Celsius to a maximum of 26 degrees Celsius. Humidity is expected to remain high, making the air feel more humid and muggy before the rain arrives. Wind speeds are expected to blow from the Northwest to the Northeast at 6 to 29 kilometres per hour. Residents living in the northern coastal area of Jakarta are advised to watch for possible higher waves driven by wind speeds. By night, Jakarta’s weather is forecast to become overcast, providing a lull from the rain that had been falling from morning through to afternoon. The Jakarta Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) reminds the public to be aware of potential extreme weather in the capital over the coming week.
