JAKARTA — Jakarta’s Department of Transportation (Dishub) is preparing traffic management measures across several tourist areas to anticipate the surge in visitors during the 2026 Eid holiday.

Deputy Head of Dishub DKI Jakarta Ujang Hermawan stated that Ragunan Zoo is among the locations expected to experience the highest visitor increase. “Based on my experience, particularly at Ragunan, visitor numbers are quite substantial. There can be over 100,000 visitors in a single day,” Ujang said during a visit to Kampung Rambutan Terminal in East Jakarta on Monday, 16 March 2026.

“For traffic management measures, we will assess the situation at each tourist location, whether at Ragunan, Taman Mini, Ancol, or the National Monument,” he added.

In addition to vehicle flow management, Ujang confirmed that the department is also preparing parking arrangements for private vehicles and group buses. Park-and-ride facilities in the Ragunan area are being arranged to reduce vehicle congestion at the tourist site itself.

The Department of Transportation will deploy approximately 2,000 personnel at tourist sites, terminals, and railway stations during the holiday period.
