Jakarta Toll Road Conditions This Morning: Cawang–Tebet Congested, Contraflow Activated

Traffic on several toll roads in Jakarta was observed to be congested on Thursday morning (21 May 2026), particularly on the Cawang–Tebet stretch. The congestion was believed to be caused by the high volume of vehicles during the rush hour. Quoted from Kompas.com, from PT Jasa Marga’s official X account, at 06:30 WIB, congestion was noted at several points along Jalan Tol Dalam Kota Jakarta. To ease the congestion, traffic management included a contraflow arrangement on the Senayan–Halim corridor. ‘From GT Halim 3 KM 01+300 – Senayan KM 08+100, CONTRAFLOW LANE/Right is in operation, please queue in an orderly fashion,’ posted @PTJasaMarga. Meanwhile, several other toll roads in Jakarta and its surroundings were observed to be relatively smooth. Officers urged motorists to exercise caution and follow on-site directions, especially at the contraflow points to maintain smooth traffic during the morning rush hour.
