Jakarta Timur Imsakiyah Schedule 5 March 2026

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Muslim communities in East Jakarta will enter the 15th day of fasting of Ramadhan 2026 on Thursday, 5 March 2026. As the holy month enters its midpoint, punctual worship is guided by official imsakiyah schedules. Each area, including East Jakarta, has an imsakiyah timetable and prayer times to ensure the fasting activities occur on time. The following is the imsakiyah schedule and prayer times in East Jakarta for 15 Ramadhan 1447 AH, or Thursday, 5 March 2026. The government through the Ministry of Religious Affairs has determined that the start of fasting for 1 Ramadhan 1447 AH falls on Thursday, 19 February 2026. This decision was taken after the Isbat session held at the Kemenag office in Jakarta on Tuesday afternoon, 17 February 2026, led by the Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar. This year, the start of Ramadhan is not simultaneous because Muhammadiyah began fasting on Wednesday, 18 February 2026. This difference does not diminish the validity of worship and all Muslims are urged to respect one another. The Isbat session involved various Islamic organisations, falak experts, and astronomical institutions, and was conducted with the method of integrating hisab and rukyatul hilal to maintain uniformity while respecting the differences in methods developing within the community.
