Jakarta Temporarily Suspends Odd-Even Traffic Rule for Eid al-Adha Holiday
Jakarta, KOMPAS.com – The Jakarta Provincial Government has temporarily suspended the odd-even traffic rule in conjunction with the Eid al-Adha national holiday and public holiday on 1447 Hijriah.
According to the Jakarta Transport Department, the rule will not apply on Wednesday, 27 May 2026, and Thursday, 28 May 2026.
The suspension coincides with the Eid al-Adha national holiday, meaning all four-wheeled or larger vehicles can travel on roads subject to the odd-even rule without restriction based on license plate numbers.
However, road users are advised to maintain traffic order and comply with existing regulations, as several major roads in Jakarta are expected to experience congestion during the holiday period.
