Jakarta-Tangerang-Cikampek Toll Road Repairs Underway, Motorists Urged to Obey Signs

PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk is carrying out repairs on a number of toll roads through preservation works on several sections, namely the Jakarta-Tangerang Toll Road, the Jakarta Inner City Toll Road and the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road.

Jasa Marga President Director Rivan A Purwantono said the repairs on the Jakarta-Tangerang Toll Road include pavement reconstruction and patching. Meanwhile, on the Jakarta Inner City Toll Road, SF works and patching are being carried out.

“As for the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, the works include patching, SF and pavement reconstruction at a number of points according to field conditions,” Rivan said in a written statement on Thursday (20/8).

Rivan said toll road preservation works are not only related to road quality, but are also part of efforts to maintain the safety and smooth travel of road users. Therefore, the implementation of the works is designed by taking into account traffic conditions on each section.

Rivan confirmed that the majority of preservation works are carried out at night until early morning when vehicle volumes are relatively lower. This step is taken to minimise the impact of the works on public mobility.

“We apologise for the inconvenience felt by road users during the preservation works,” he said.

“We strive to minimise the impact on public travel through traffic management, the selection of work times and adequate safety measures at the work sites,” he continued.

In addition, Rivan said, lanes affected by the works are equipped with warning signs and safety devices. Operational officers are also on standby 24 hours a day to ensure a rapid response in the event of an emergency in the field.

Rivan explained that preservation is an important part of the sustainable management of toll road assets. Toll road infrastructure faces high traffic loads every day, so maintenance is needed to maintain the quality and service life of the road.

“Jasa Marga continues to carry out preservation works periodically as part of efforts to keep the quality of toll roads in prime condition,” he said.
