Information on the Suzuki Fronx’s ethanol fuel and Transjakarta’s operating hours during Eid al-Adha have also attracted attention. For more details, here is the collection of popular automotive articles on Wednesday (27 May 2026):
The Jakarta Provincial Government has temporarily suspended the odd-even rule coinciding with the national holiday and Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijriah’s communal holiday.
According to the Jakarta Transportation Agency, the odd-even policy will not apply on Wednesday (27 May 2026) and Thursday (28 May 2026), with the suspension aligned with the Eid al-Adha national holiday.
As a result, all four-wheeled or larger vehicles can travel on odd-even restricted roads without plate number restrictions.
Recently, rumours circulated that the government plans to tighten the distribution of subsidized Pertalite fuel specifically for vehicles with engines under 1,400cc.
Despite Pertamina denying the reports, the proposal remains possible.
Agus Pambagio, a public policy expert and advisor to the Indonesian Transport Society (MTI), stated that as Pertalite is still subsidised, vehicles with engines over 1,400cc will be prohibited from using it.
Entry-level models such as the Vespa LX have been upgraded from 125cc to 150cc. Meanwhile, popular models like the Sprint and Primavera, previously equipped with 150cc engines, now feature 180cc units.
The GTS family has also undergone changes. The GTS 150 variant is confirmed to be discontinued and replaced by the GTS 250.
The top-tier GTS 300 variant is also being phased out, with sales gradually restricted.
