Jakarta Stock Exchange Index Rises Slightly at the End of February 2026; Check 3 Standout Shares in the LQ45 Lineup
The Jakarta Stock Exchange Index (IHSG) recovered (rebounded) slightly before the index had moved weaker throughout most of trading. The IHSG rose marginally by 0.2 points to the level of 8,235.49.
The movement of the IHSG was within the range of 8,093 points to an intraday high touching 8,219. Transaction value reached Rp 38.13 trillion, with transaction volume of Rp 45.37 billion and total trading of 2.46 million transactions.
Analysts at Phintraco Securities assessed that the decline during the first session was due to negative sentiment from uncertainty regarding tariffs from the United States. Additionally, there was a warning concerning increased fiscal pressure in Indonesia from S&P Global Ratings, as well as MSCI rebalancing at the end of the month.
“From a technical perspective, the narrowing of positive MACD histogram continues and Stochastic RSI is moving towards the pivot area,” stated the Phintraco Securities Analysis Team, cited from their daily research on Friday, 27 February 2026.
The recovery of the IHSG coincided with the strengthening of several stock sectors led by a surge in the industrial sector of 4.48 per cent. The cyclical consumer sector advanced 2.88 per cent and the raw materials sector increased by 1.88 per cent.
However, several sectors still experienced correction. The financial sector fell 0.83 per cent, the infrastructure sector weakened 0.36 per cent and the healthcare sector declined 0.16 per cent.
In line with the domestic index moving higher, several shares also recorded positive results. The following are three issuers with the highest price movements in the ranking of 45 top shares (LQ45):
PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (INCO): The INCO share surged in double digits by 11.27 per cent or 800 points to breach the level of 7,900.
PT Trimegah Bangun Persada Tbk (NCKL): The NCKL share jumped 6.57 per cent or 95 points to 1,540.
PT Amman Mineral Internasional Tbk (AMMN): The AMMN share strengthened by 4.79 per cent or 350 points and closed at the position of 7,650.
