Jakarta South Fire and Rescue Service rescues sacrificial cow trapped in drainage channel

Personnel of the Jakarta South Fire and Rescue Service (Gulkarmat Jaksel) rescued a sacrificial cow that became agitated and fell into a drainage channel on Haji Djahawir Street, Cilandak Barat.

‘We deployed two units with seven personnel to rescue the cow trapped in the drainage channel,’ said Head of Jakarta South Gulkarmat Asril Rizal when contacted in Jakarta on Wednesday.

He stated that the service received the report at 10:04 WIB and immediately deployed personnel, arriving at the scene at 10:13 WIB.

According to Asril, the incident began when residents were transporting the sacrificial cow for slaughter.

However, the cow suddenly became agitated and fell into the drainage channel. Local residents struggled to evacuate it and decided to contact Jakarta South Gulkarmat.

‘Residents contacted Gulkarmat Jaksel, which then handled the situation,’ Asril added.
