Jakarta Set to Be Congested Again, Signs Visible at Priok Port
The return flow of the 2026 Eid al-Fitr mudik season at Tanjung Priok Port is observed to be busy yet smooth. A total of 1,318 mudik travellers aboard KM Bukit Raya arrived at Tanjung Priok Passenger Port on H+6 of Eid. Observations at the site show that thousands of these mudik travellers immediately disembarked from the ship and were transported using buses to avoid disrupting port activities. Piles of suitcases and cardboard boxes belonging to the mudik travellers were seen adorning the pier at 108 Tanjung Priok Port. Meanwhile, 826 mudik travellers from Makassar and Surabaya arrived on Kapal Dobonsolo on Friday at 08:00 WIB. In total, 2,144 passengers have been recorded arriving at Tanjung Priok Port today as of 14:00 WIB. By using this sea transportation, the passengers had to endure a journey of several days to finally reach Tanjung Priok Port. PT PELNI has also prepared various strategic measures since the beginning of the Eid transportation period and mobilised a task force team to ensure services run safely and smoothly.
