Jakarta–Semarang Bus Ticket Prices Ahead of Lebaran, Start at Around Rp200,000
Two weeks before Lebaran, the price of Jakarta–Semarang bus tickets remains stable. Several intercity bus operators (AKAP) have not yet implemented fare increases as usually occur ahead of the holiday.
Based on checks with various bus companies, journey fares remain within the normal price range. This condition gives prospective travellers the opportunity to buy tickets earlier at more affordable prices.
Operator Sinar Jaya, for instance, continues to set Executive fares at Rp220,000 and Suites Class at Rp355,000. Handoyo, meanwhile, offers Royal Class at Rp220,000.
Other operators also maintaining normal prices, such as Kramat Djati Executive Rp245,000, GHTS VIP Rp250,000 and Executive Rp300,000, and Harapan Jaya VIP Rp255,000 up to Suites Class Combi Rp371,000.
For higher classes, Garuda Mas offers VIP Rp270,000 and PO Haryanto Executive Rp280,000. Agra Mas provides various options from Executive Rp300,000 to Sleeper Rp460,000.
Typically, fare increases begin about a week before Lebaran, as demand for travel rises. Therefore, prospective passengers are advised to book tickets earlier before the peak mudik period begins.
