Jakarta Revises Independence Day Transport Fare to Rp8

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo announced a revision to the special transport fare for the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia, setting it at Rp8. Speaking in South Jakarta on Thursday, he explained the fare was adjusted from the previously announced Rp1 to align with the central government’s tariff. “After coordinating with the central government and the City Hall, we revised the fare for August 17 to Rp8,” Pramono said. He added that the Jakarta provincial government will support the series of events led by the central government at the State Palace, including entertainment stages, community competitions, a people’s party, and a flag ceremony. “The main domain for the Independence Day celebration is with the central government. We are here to provide full support,” he stated.
