Jakarta (ANTARA) - Jakarta residents won doorprizes of electric motorcycles at the people’s bazaar in the Monas area of Central Jakarta, initiated by President Prabowo Subianto on Saturday, bringing happiness amid meeting post-Eid needs.

“Thank you, President, now I can sweep without getting tired. We’re PPSU from East Cilandak. We’ve been here since 1:00 p.m. I’m so happy, really happy, great, thank you Mr President,” said Gunawan Ipang, a PPSU officer from East Cilandak, South Jakarta, who won the electric motorcycle draw.

Gunawan expressed his gratitude for the electric motorcycle prize, which he believes will help his daily activities as a public facilities cleaning officer, commonly nicknamed the “orange troops”.

In addition to the electric motorcycle, Gunawan also received a sembako package and one Muslim shirt at the event. He once again expressed his appreciation to President Prabowo for organising the event.

“Sembako and a shirt. Cool. May you have a long life, always healthy, may your life be extended, and always successful for Mr Prabowo,” he said.

Similar happiness was felt by Diana, a South Jakarta resident, who also won an electric motorcycle prize in the affordable market event.

“The feeling is so happy. I can’t believe it (getting the motorcycle). Thank you so much, thank you so much. Alhamdulillah, great Mr Prabowo,” Diana revealed.

This people’s bazaar is part of the government’s efforts to provide beneficial and entertaining activities for the community, especially in fulfilling post-Eid needs.

In the event, the government provided 100,000 sembako shopping coupons and free goods worth Rp500,000, as well as 300,000 free meal portions prepared by around 800 micro, small, and medium enterprises (UMKM).

In addition, the committee provided various prizes through doorprize draws, including 1,000 bicycles and 100 electric motorcycles for lucky visitors.

The event’s liveliness was supported by a people’s entertainment stage featuring performances by the music groups Wali and Bagindas, as well as various children’s games, running from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. WIB and open to the public.
