The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is providing a Rural and Urban Land and Building Tax (PBB-P2) incentive in the form of a 7.5 per cent discount for the 2026 tax year. This incentive applies to taxpayers who make payments during the period from 1 June to 31 July 2026. The discount is given automatically at the time of payment. Taxpayers do not need to submit an application or undergo additional administrative processes to obtain the relief. The DKI Jakarta Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) has reminded residents that the value stated on the Tax Payable Notification Letter (SPPT) may differ from the actual bill amount shown during payment. This discrepancy occurs because the 7.5 per cent discount is applied automatically in the payment system. “In several payment channels, the discount information is not always displayed separately. However, if the bill amount that appears during payment is smaller than the value stated on the SPPT, this indicates that the incentive has been applied,” wrote Bapenda DKI Jakarta in an official statement on Monday (8/6/2026). Bapenda stated that this policy was introduced to provide relief for the public in fulfilling their local tax obligations. As the year reaches its midpoint, PBB-P2 payment becomes one of the obligations that can be settled immediately so that taxpayers can take advantage of the available incentive period. In addition to the 7.5 per cent discount for the 2026 tax year PBB-P2, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is also offering a waiver of administrative sanctions for taxpayers with PBB-P2 arrears from previous years. This programme applies to the payment of PBB-P2 for the 2021 to 2025 tax years, including payments made via an instalment scheme. Through this administrative sanction waiver, taxpayers only need to pay the principal tax amount without being subject to late payment penalties. The administrative sanction waiver period runs from 1 April to 31 December 2026. “Both of these incentives are an opportunity for the public to settle their PBB-P2 obligations more easily. Taxpayers who pay earlier can benefit from the discount, while also avoiding the accumulation of tax liabilities in the future,” the statement explained. PBB-P2 payment is also an important part of the community’s contribution to supporting Jakarta’s development. The local taxes paid by residents are used to support various development programmes and public services, including improvements to infrastructure, public facilities, education services, health, and other urban development needs. “Bapenda DKI Jakarta invites the public to utilise the ongoing PBB-P2 incentive period. By paying taxes on time, the community not only receives relief but also plays a role in supporting the realisation of a more comfortable, safe, inclusive, and progressive Jakarta,” concluded Bapenda DKI Jakarta.
