Welcoming the Islamic year 1447 H, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has launched the Jakarta Ramadan Festival. The festival is scheduled to run until 31 March 2026, featuring a diverse range of religious activities, cultural events, entertainment, and shopping promotions to celebrate Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr across Jakarta.

Several flagship programmes have been organised to enliven the Jakarta Ramadan Festival, including the Jakarta Light Festival with the theme “Ramadan Light in Jakarta” running from 19 February to 24 March 2026. Additionally, Harmoni Ramadan Jakarta will be held daily from 16.00 to 17.30 WIB featuring hadroh, marawis, qasidah, and nasyid performances, creating a religious atmosphere for residents to enjoy whilst waiting for iftar (breaking of the fast).

Religious artistic performances are also featured through Jakarta Rebana Ramadan Kolosal on Friday, 27 February 2026, at the HI Roundabout, one hour before iftar. The performance combines traditional rebana with modern musical arrangements in a colossal ensemble format designed to deliver a spiritual, cultural, and communal experience in public spaces.

According to the official DKI Jakarta Provincial Government website, on Saturday, 28 February 2026, tourism and recreation packages and promotions from the Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI) DKI, the Indonesian Travel Agent Association (Astindo) DKI, and the Jakarta Experience Board will be presented. Various incentives have been arranged, ranging from hotel promotions offering “pay 2 get 3 nights” at 26 hotels, shopping vouchers at eight ITC Group outlets, discounts at tourism destinations, reduced airfare tickets from Citilink and Indonesian Railway targeting Jakarta, to private city tour packages.

A total of 101 shopping centres are participating in the Jakarta Festive Wonder Programme, offering discounts up to 70 per cent, midnight sales, prize draws, UMKM corners, and QRIS payment campaigns to strengthen the Ramadan economy and increase consumer purchasing power.

“We will provide convenience, including tax incentives for shopping centres and hotels so they can offer significant discounts. At its peak, I am confident that discounts could reach 70 per cent,” said Governor Pramono.
