Jakarta Provincial Government to Issue Circular on Lebaran Homecoming, Residents Asked to Report to Local Community Leaders
The Jakarta Provincial Government will issue a circular regarding security measures during the Lebaran homecoming period. Residents who plan to leave their homes are asked to report to their local community leaders.
The Governor of Jakarta, Pramono Anung, stated that the circular will be signed by the Jakarta Regional Secretary. The circular contains an appeal to residents to report before leaving for their homecoming trip.
“We will create a circular that will be signed by the Regional Secretary, asking residents who are going on their homecoming trip to report in advance, whether to their local community leaders or the local sub-district office,” said Pramono at the Jakarta Provincial Education Office, Thursday (February 26, 2026).
In addition, the Jakarta Provincial Government will reactivate the neighbourhood watch system to maintain the security of residential areas during the homecoming period.
“Secondly, to maintain security and also protect the environment, we will reactivate the neighbourhood watch system during the homecoming period,” he said.
Pramono added that residents can start reporting their homecoming plans to their respective community leaders. This step is expected to help prevent criminal acts and maintain security in the community during the Lebaran holidays.
“If residents want to go on their homecoming trip, we encourage them to report to their local community leaders,” he explained.
The Jakarta Provincial Government hopes that the active participation of the community can help create a safe and orderly environment during the Lebaran homecoming period.
