Jakarta (ANTARA) - Governor of DKI Jakarta, Pramono Anung Wibowo, has stated that he is ready to follow the central government’s directives regarding the implementation of the work-from-home (WFH) policy. “Therefore, the DKI Jakarta Government will follow whatever decision the central government makes. Whatever is decided, we will carry it out,” Pramono said at City Hall, Jakarta, on Wednesday (25/3). The policy is planned to be implemented after Eid as a measure to save energy amid the rise in world oil prices. Nevertheless, Pramono mentioned that up to now, the policy has not been decided, so his side has not yet taken a stance on its implementation. “But because it has not been decided, we have not yet taken a stance on it,” Pramono explained. Tito mentioned that in the previous meeting, related ministers had already directed towards the same day for WFH implementation. However, he admitted he could not explain it further and asked the public to wait for the official announcement. “Because that must be reported again, the results of yesterday’s meeting to the President. After there is direction from the President, it will then be officially announced,” Tito said. On the other hand, he emphasised that he would conduct socialisation with local governments to ensure essential services continue if the WFH policy is implemented. Tito also emphasised that the WFH scheme to be carried out later is not something new, given that the same work pattern was implemented during the COVID-19 pandemic.
