Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has revealed that the Jakarta Provincial Government is preparing the construction of new flyovers at several points to ease traffic congestion. Priority locations include the Pejompongan, Pancasila, and Bintaro areas.

This was conveyed by Pramono after inspecting the progress of the Latumenten Flyover construction in West Jakarta on Thursday (2/7/2026). According to him, the Latumenten Flyover remains the top priority project as it is one of the worst traffic congestion points in Jakarta.

“Firstly, regarding flyovers that have not yet been built, there are indeed priorities. The Head of the Highways Department has reported to me, and I have requested a formal report at a meeting. We will soon decide which ones are most needed, including whether it is the one in Pejompongan, Pancasila, or Bintaro,” said Pramono.

Pramono stated that the decision on new flyover construction will be discussed further in a meeting with the Jakarta Provincial Government ranks. After that, the government will determine the most urgent location to be worked on.

“There are, but the most pressing priority right now is indeed this location, because it is so badly needed here,” he said.

Currently, Pramono noted, the main focus of the Jakarta Provincial Government is to complete the construction of the Latumenten Flyover. The project, with an investment value of Rp 259 billion, is targeted for completion on 15 December 2026.

The flyover is being built to address congestion caused by a level railway crossing in the Latumenten area. Once completed, vehicles will travel over the flyover and will no longer be delayed by the opening and closing of railway barriers.

The Jakarta Provincial Government hopes this project can cut road users’ travel time by up to 15 minutes while improving transport connectivity in the West Jakarta region.
