Jakarta Provincial Government Opens 2,843 Vacancies in 2026 Labour-Intensive Programme
The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has opened 2,843 job vacancies through the 2026 Padat Karya (labour-intensive) programme. A key requirement for applicants is possession of a DKI Jakarta identity card (KTP). Successful participants will receive wages equivalent to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP), which is approximately Rp5.7 million per month.
Special Staff to the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Chico Hakim, stated on Wednesday (17/6) that Governor Pramono Anung is deeply concerned about the condition of the community. “Through the Padat Karya programme, we are not only creating job opportunities but also ensuring that this assistance truly reaches those in need, thereby helping to reduce unemployment and stimulate economic turnover at the sub-district and neighbourhood levels,” he said.
Prospective applicants can monitor the official DKI Jakarta Provincial Government website at https://www.jakarta.go.id/padat-karya. The vacancies are available across several agencies, including the Environmental Agency (DLH), the Highways Agency (DBM), the Parks and Forests Agency (Distamhut), and the Water Resources Agency (SDA). These agencies will soon verify candidate data and announce the selection results through the official Padat Karya programme platform.
City and administrative regency governments are optimising outreach down to the sub-district, neighbourhood, and community unit levels to ensure the information reaches the target population. The Communication, Information, and Statistics Agency (Diskominfotik) is ensuring the smooth operation of the Padat Karya programme platform, expanding dissemination through various official channels, and conducting rapid monitoring and clarification of inaccurate information.
The Padat Karya programme will involve a range of public service activities, including support for the social, health, education, sanitation, and environmental infrastructure sectors. The public is urged to follow official information through the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government platform and to disregard fake news. “We invite all Jakarta residents to support this programme. Together, we build a stronger and more inclusive Jakarta,” Chico Hakim added.
