Jakarta Provincial Government Launches Alpukat Betawi Version 2.0 with New Features
The Jakarta Provincial Government’s Population and Civil Registration Office (Dukcapil) has launched version 2.0 of its population services application, Alpukat Betawi, featuring significant updates and improvements to ensure faster and more practical service for Jakarta residents.
Denny Wahyu Haryanto, Head of the Jakarta Provincial Government’s Dukcapil Office, stated that Alpukat Betermawi—an acronym for ‘Direct Access to Fast and Accurate Population Document Services’—has been the flagship application of the office since 2019, designed to bring population services directly to residents’ smartphones.
‘In response to field dynamics, technical constraints, and the need for faster processing speeds, we have implemented improvements, updates, and developments to make the application faster, more practical, and more comfortable for Jakarta residents,’ he said in an official statement in Jakarta on Wednesday.
The latest version includes several new features, such as KYC (Know Your Customer) verification, a ‘remember me’ feature to save the applicant’s NIK (National Identity Number), biometric login for enhanced data security, a feature for the delivery of printed electronic ID cards (KTP-el), and login capabilities via Digital Population Identity (IKD).
‘In the new version of Alpukat Betawi, we have designed an SSO login feature with IKD to facilitate ease of use for Jakarta residents,’ Denny added.
Meanwhile, Hari Wibowo, Head of the Information Technology and Technology Management Unit of the Jakarta Dukcapil Office, noted that the services currently available through Alpukat Betawi include the printing of KTP-el, Family Cards (KK), Child Identity Cards (KIA), and birth certificates for residents, both those with and without an existing NIK.
Hari clarified that Alpukat Betawi is intended for residents holding a Jakarta KTP-el. For residents from outside Jakarta who require population administration services within the Jakarta area, such as moving in or printing a KTP-el, or for Jakarta residents undergoing population restructuring according to domicile, services can still be accessed through Dukcapil service counters in accordance with applicable regulations. Once an applicant’s data is verified and they are registered as a Jakarta resident, they can then proceed to access services via the Alpukat Betawi application.
On the first day of the launch, which coincided with National Awakening Day, 345 accounts were registered. Hari added that after creating an account, applicants can submit requests by uploading supporting documents within a maximum of three days. ‘If the deadline is exceeded, the resident’s application will automatically reset, and the applicant must resubmit,’ he said.
