Jakarta Provincial Government Disburses Rp142 Billion KJMU for 15,825 Students
The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has officially disbursed the Kartu Jakarta Mahasiswa Unggul (KJMU) worth Rp142 billion to thousands of university students.
“The DKI Jakarta Government has also disbursed the first phase of KJMU for 2026 to 15,825 students,” said DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung at the DKI Jakarta City Hall in Central Jakarta on Monday (4/5).
Pramono stated that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has prepared and realised a substantial budget allocation.
“With a value of Rp142 billion 425 million as part of the commitment to expand access to higher education,” he said.
He added that the adjustment of the recipient quota in this disbursement is the result of strict data updates regarding eligibility status up to the academic achievements of the students.
“By adjusting the number of recipients due to students who have graduated, taken academic leave, have academic grades below standard, passed away, or received other tuition assistance,” said Pramono.
Previously in 2025, Pramono targeted an increase in the number of Kartu Jakarta Mahasiswa Unggul (KJMU) beneficiaries to 20,000 people in 2026.
He targeted an addition of around 5,000 recipients from the original target of 15,000 beneficiaries.
“Hopefully next year we can increase it to 20,000, so this will significantly impact the people of Jakarta,” said Pramono at Jakarta City Hall on Wednesday (12/3/25).
