Jakarta Presidential Palace Opens for Citizens' Halalbihalal Starting Afternoon
Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya announced that the Presidential Palace in Jakarta will open for halalbihalal activities for the public during Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah on Saturday (21/3). He explained that the event is scheduled to run from afternoon until evening, with a visitor capacity of around 5,000 people, and the public will be served in turns. According to Teddy, facilities such as tents will be provided for visitors if the palace’s capacity is full. “In the afternoon at the Palace, we are preparing halalbihalal and silaturahim for all members of the public who wish to visit,” said Teddy in Medan, North Sumatra, on Friday (20/3), quoted from Antara. The event will feature prepared food servings, including ketupat, which is characteristic of Lebaran. Additionally, there will be simple entertainment for child visitors who come with their families. “It is open to the public from afternoon until evening. Like last year, for the people, the Palace is opened for the people. Various types of food and a little entertainment for young children will be prepared,” he said. “The public who might come with their families can tour around; for Eid al-Fitr, if you want to bring your whole family there, you are welcome to stop by the Palace,” he added. Regarding Prabowo’s Presence Teddy said he could not yet confirm whether President Prabowo Subianto will attend the halalbihalal event at the palace, as the schedule is still being adjusted. Prabowo is known to be conducting Eid prayers in Aceh on Saturday morning, which also serves to inspect post-flood disaster handling in Aceh. “Then possibly, possibly the President will greet them, but the timing is tentative because we don’t yet know how tomorrow’s activities will go,” Teddy stated.
