Jakarta Police Uncover Vape Containing Narcotics in Central Jakarta, Three Suspects Arrested

The Jakarta Metropolitan Police’s Narcotics Directorate, through its Sub-Directorate, has thwarted the distribution of etomidate, a type of narcotic. A total of 35 cartridges were seized from the Central Jakarta area.

“In this operation, officers apprehended three young men, with the initials A, C, and R, who are suspected of being involved in the misuse and distribution of the substance,” said AKP Sigit, the officer in charge, on Wednesday (25/2/2026).

The arrests were made on Monday (23/2), around 12:00 PM. The suspects were apprehended at a house in the Karanganyar sub-district, Sawah Besar district.

“This operation began with reports from the public regarding the alleged distribution of vape containing etomidate in the area,” he said.

Upon receiving the report, the police then visited the location. The three suspects and the evidence were then taken to the Jakarta Metropolitan Police.

“Subsequently, the suspects and the evidence were taken to the Narcotics Directorate of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police for further investigation,” he concluded.
