Jakarta Police Test Jokowi's Diploma at Nationally and Internationally Certified Lab

The Jakarta Metropolitan Police will hand over Roy Suryo and Dr Tifa to the Jakarta High Prosecutor’s Office in connection with the case of alleged fake diploma of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Jokowi.

Director of Criminal Investigation at Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Senior Commissioner Iman Imanuddin, stated that investigators have completed laboratory tests on all evidence.

“We have also conducted laboratory tests on the documentary and digital evidence we obtained during the investigation process,” Iman said during a press conference at Jakarta Metropolitan Police Headquarters on Friday, 19 June 2026.

He explained that the tests included examination of the paper, ink, signatures, embossing, watermarks, and the type of font used in the documents that are the subject of the case.

“This was carried out with several comparisons issued by the faculty at the same time, the same faculty, and the same year,” Iman clarified.

Iman confirmed that all officers who tested the evidence are certified and calibrated by national and international certification and calibration bodies.

Roy Suryo and Dr Tifa were arrested on Friday (19/6) morning. Roy Suryo was arrested at his residence in Bintaro, South Tangerang.
