Jakarta (ANTARA) – The Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov DKI Jakarta) is offering residents outside of Jakarta the opportunity to register for the 2026 Free Homecoming Programme, which began on 22 February. “Priority will be given to those with Jakarta ID cards. However, we will not rule out the possibility of accommodating residents with non-Jakarta ID cards,” said the Head of the Road Transport Division of the Jakarta Transportation Department (Dishub DKI Jakarta), Emanuel Kristanto, during the OKESIP (Contemporary Conversation about Public Information) podcast, monitored in Jakarta on Wednesday. Registration is done online at mudikgratis.jakarta.go.id, by attaching ID cards and family cards. One family card can only register up to four participants. Registration and verification are divided into three clusters based on destination to avoid congestion, as has occurred in previous years. The first cluster is for destinations including Solo, Tasikmalaya, Palembang, Madiun, Sragen, and Cilacap. Registration for this cluster is open from 22-24 February 2026, while verification will take place from 25-27 February 2026. The third cluster includes destinations such as Wonogiri, Kediri, Malang, Wonosobo, Purwokerto, Semarang, and Sidoarjo. Registration for this cluster will be from 28 February to 3 March 2026, and verification will be from 3-5 March 2026. “After verification, the departure will take place. Passengers will depart from Monas on 17 March 2026. Motorcycles will depart from the Pulogadung Terminal on 16 March 2026,” said Emanuel. This year, the Jakarta Provincial Government is providing 366 buses for the homecoming flow, an increase compared to 2025, which was 293 buses. For the return flow, 295 buses are provided from 20 destination areas with a quota of 11,800 passengers, an increase compared to 2025, which was 228 buses. Through the Free Homecoming Programme, he added, the Jakarta Provincial Government provides safe and comfortable public transportation, while also alleviating traffic congestion during the Eid al-Fitr period.
