Jakarta — The Jakarta provincial government has officially launched a new Transjabodetabek SH2 bus route serving Blok M and Soekarno-Hatta Airport (Soetta).

“Today we are launching something new that the public has been waiting for — the Transjabodetabek SH2 service from Blok M to Soekarno-Hatta Airport,” said Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung during the official launch at Blok M bus stop in South Jakarta on Thursday.

Tangerang Mayor Sachrudin praised the Jakarta government for launching the Transjabodetabek route, noting that many Tangerang residents travel to the capital for work in the morning hours. He expressed hope that the new route would help alleviate traffic congestion.

“Tangerang is a transit city with multiple thoroughfares, including toll roads such as the Jakarta-Merak and Soekarno-Hatta Airport routes, as well as national roads including Daan Mogot and Gatot Subroto streets. This launch of the Transjabodetabek Blok M to Soekarno-Hatta Airport service should help minimise traffic congestion at several key points,” Sachrudin explained.

The route will serve 23 stops and the journey will take approximately 121 minutes. The route spans 65.1 kilometres and includes stops at major locations such as Bundaran Senayan, Fx Sudirman, Gelora Bung Karno, DPR-MPR, Cengkareng Golf Club, Kargo Terminal, Soekarno-Hatta airport railway station, and various other transit points throughout the Greater Jakarta region.
